Dan Barker is Co-President of the Freedom From Religion Foundation with his wife, Annie Laurie Gaylor, and co-host of Freethought Radio, now in its 8th year of broadcasting. A former Christian minister, he is author of the book Godless: How An Evangelical Preacher Became One of America’s Leading Atheists. Dan has participated in more than 100 formal public debates since 1985, and has composed and recorded dozens of freethought songs, which appear on the albums Friendly Neighborhood Atheist, Beware of Dogma, and Adrift On A Star, produced by FFRF. (“Poor Little Me” is a new song Dan wrote with Broadway composer Charles Strouse, who wrote Annie and Bye Bye Birdie.) FFRF advocates for separation of church and state and educates the public relating to atheism, agnosticism, and nontheism.
